Grandma

People live on in your memories ✝️❤️. We lost a special person tonight. I’m not a writer, so I’ll try my best to pay tribute to someone who was so special to so many. Moving away at the young age of 18, it has been work to keep in touch and keep up on relationships. An easy one, but it’s still challenging with time zones etc. To be able to say I had so much time and a close relationship with this women is amazing. We would see each other almost every 6 months. It’s not easy traveling across country at 90. That was the last time she visited the west coast. We walked for about 7 miles, to go on a hot air ballon she never complained, she made cabbage rolls, sat on the floor and played with my kids. She was always up for anything!!!! Even when the newspaper called my Grandparents to talk about me posing for Playboy, they never judged. 2010 Adam and I were married in Cabo, I said to her in her late 80’s, “Lets’s take that Jet ski and go for a ride”. She never hesitated. I asked her if she wanted me to slow down, I was going as fast as I could ☺️ she didn’t want to. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone. And if you did she would say you need to pray for them and soften their heart. She taught me that distance means nothing and family is everything. She was one of the few people that would complement me, and say I had patience. 🤔 Maybe it was something she saw when only she was around lol🤫😄. Her faith was strong. So strong, that as sad as this day is for me, I know she was always prepared for it. She was 97 a great grandmother, she raised 7 amazing kids, full of so much love ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ I would often compare her to mother Theresa. She lived an amazing life. My Grandmother did it, she conquered life and lived life to it’s fullest the right way, humble, honest, and kind, and never slowing down. She never forgot a Birthday or Anniversary, always thoughtful and caring. You will be missed but never forgotten. So many amazing memories we will cherish. “You just never mind.” My Grandmother would say. Here are just a few photos🥰 I have so many more memories and photos I’ll post more later. We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will. Thank you for doing just that Great Great Chuck Palahniuk
