My Birthday

All right 🤗 it’s soapbox time 🙄.... One year wiser, this year I celebrate 47. The last two years have been so crazy that I felt I hadn't been the best mother, wife, family member, or friend. I didn't even want a birthday, but I'm so grateful to those few friends who insisted on celebrating with me and who always make sure we all feel special. Thank you to everyone who donated to my charity yesterday—you know who you are!

I can't really remember when I started doing this, but I love adding each year. Some of the photos you'll see are from birthdays thrown by my beautiful friends and family over the years, including the Covid quarantine one. I am truly blessed and have the most amazing family and friends. I am grateful and thankful. #47 is at the end.

2. 👶👶👶 You will never regret the time you spend with your children.
3. 💼👋💰💍 You will not have a U-Haul at your funeral.
4. 🤔 There are so many good and decent people in the world.
5. 🤣 Laughing at yourself is the secret to a flat tummy.
6. 😴 Always speak up for what you believe in. It may be scary in the moment, and you might lose 'friends' or prestige, but you will sleep better at night.
7. 👽 It’s OK to not know. It’s OK to change your mind. It’s OK to make mistakes.
8. 🤑💸 You don’t have to stick with a mistake just because you spent a lot of time (or money) making it.
9. 👂🏽 Everyone: Listen more.
10. 🍰 Everything becomes easier when we fall in love with doing hard things.
11. 👿🙏🏼💕 Pray for your enemies; it will soften your own heart.
12. 😊 I believe it is our joy that will save us.
13. 🙄 Ask for help more often.
14. 👻 Stop acting out of habit and calling it authenticity.
15. 😇 The most important relationship you will ever have is with yourself and God.
16. 👸🏼📱 Every once in a while: Scroll through your own IG and FB photos, so you can be jealous of your own 'perfect life'.
17. 🦸🏻‍♀️ Don’t worry about getting rid of your fears and 'limiting beliefs' – just don’t act on them.
18. 💕🤬 Disagreeing with someone doesn’t mean you don’t love them, and the same goes for others disagreeing with you.
19. 🙌🏻 You want something in life? Then why don't you go and get it?
20. 👏🏼 Actions speak louder than words, and it's pretty quiet, isn’t it?
21. 🤓 Surround yourself with people that challenge how you think.
22. 🔪 Don’t hang around with people who will cut you open just to watch you bleed.
23. 🦹‍♂️ Always be yourself, not the person you pretend to be.
24. 👸🏼 Perfect people don’t exist, so don’t pretend to be one.
25. 🧚‍♀️ Anyone can take from your life, but not what you believe in.
26. 🤝 Don’t take opinions from people who won’t listen to yours.
27. 😊💸 If money's where you find happiness, you’ll always be poor.
28. 🖥 If you don’t like the job you have, then what do you do it for?
29. 🍻 The cure to pain isn’t something you buy at liquor stores.
30. 👁 The real you is who you are when nobody is watching.
31. 👋💔 Mistakes can make you grow, but that doesn’t mean you’re friends.

34. 😢⏰ I heard that life’s too short, so don’t let it pass you by. We waste a lot of time crying over wasted time.

42. ❤️ Fall in love with yourself, and others will too.
43. The goal isn’t to live forever; the goal is to create something that will.
44. You never buy anything with money; you buy it with the hours of life you use to get that money.
45. 😇😀 Take and give compliments.
46. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so wear your 💜 on your sleeve.
